Pavia Rosati is a travel and lifestyle expert and the CEO and founder of the award-winning editorial travel platform Fathom. Filled with insider information on the world's best destinations, hotels, and experiences, Fathom connects sophisticated travelers with expert intelligence, and discerning brands (like American Express Platinum, AirFrance, and Bahamas Tourism) with the travelers they need to reach. Fathom launched as an editorial website and expanded its offerings to include downloadable itineraries and the Fathom Concierge planning service. Pavia and her business partner, Jeralyn Gerba, are hosts of the iHeart podcast "A Way to Go" and authors of "Travel Anywhere (And Avoid Being a Tourist)," which has been published in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, France, and Estonia. Their second book,"Travel North America (And Avoid Being a Tourist)" was published in May 2021. Prior to Fathom, Pavia spent a happy decade building and leading the content team of the groundbreaking media company DailyCandy.com, helping it grow from one newsletter with readers in one city to 28 newsletters in 13 cities and an audience of millions. Before that, she was the Director of the Entertainment Channel at AOL, then the highest-trafficked entertainment website. Her first digital job was editing the fashion section at NewsCorp’s first website. She began her career at the fashion magazine Mirabella, followed by a brief but impactful stint at The Village Voice, where she got her first email address.Pavia boarded her first plane at nine months when her Italian mother took her to meet her grandparents at their villa outside Venice, a trip she repeated every year until college. As a result, her American classmates thought she was too Italian, and her Italian aunts thought she was too American. Other early, formative trips saw her in pre-Perestroika Russia, where she learned to travel light, and post-Berlin-Wall Prague, where she learned to travel without a guidebook.A tireless explorer, she has lived in Italy, Paris, London, Washington, D.C, and New York City, and has spent her career covering emerging talent in culture, food, and travel. She’s at her best and happiest sitting around a table in lively conversation with new and old friends.
