Hello! My name is Pawan Chande. I am a senior finance professional with varied experience of almost 3 decades in global multinational companies. As a C suite leader, I have the expertise of developing and implementing finance strategies, setting-up and scaling businesses and leading multi-disciplinary teams. This journey involved-Working as an auditor for 5+ years at the beginning of my career [A.F.Ferguson/Deloitte]. The highlight was being deputed to Unilever India for around a year to conduct business assurance audits across India-Serving for over a decade as the head of Income-tax for the subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company [Jacobs Engineering] where I also held additional responsibilities for Transfer Pricing, Accounts Payable, Treasury and Internal Audit-Moving from Mumbai to New Delhi for setting up a group company of Jacobs Engineering [LeighFisher] from scratch and leading their financial and business advisory practice for 3.5 years-Moving back to Mumbai to work with the subsidiary of the world’s largest recognition and reward company [O.C.Tanner] as Chief Financial Officer [CFO] for around 5 years. I was responsible for FP & A, Tax, Audit, Compliances and M&A. I also led the operations as their Chief Operating Officer [COO]-At the helm of finance for Bureau Veritas Group's South Asia operations, my role encompassed strategic financial planning, execution and compliance oversight. My team's efforts have been pivotal in enhancing business profitability, improving productivity through process efficiency and automation, and optimising/reducing costs. Across my career-I have been involved in designing and implementing strategies for long term growth including setting up of new companies, acquiring a competitor’s business, hiring new teams, establishing financial policies and procedures, and implementing financial reporting and compliance mechanisms-I am passionate about being focused on continuous improvement in everything I do. This has helped me identify cost reduction avenues which increase bottom-line profits. It has also enabled me to bring about process efficiencies and productivity improvements.
