About Pearson Brownlee

I love a good challenging puzzle. As an electrical engineer with a deep passion for problem-solving, I view designing PCBs as one of the most engaging puzzles in the world. From the moment I laid out my first PCB during my studies at the University of Victoria, I realized that this was more than just a task; it was my professional ambition. I was fortunate to kickstart my career at Exro Technologies, where I was entrusted with their PCB design projects. This sink-or-swim opportunity propelled me to learn rapidly and immerse myself in the intricacies of electronics. Over the past five years and nearly 100 PCBs later, my enthusiasm for expanding my knowledge and skill set remains unwavering. Electronics design is an expansive field, full of sub-genres that ignite my curiosity. I continually strive to enhance my skill set across various aspects of the workflow, from design and assembly to testing. My experiences span sensitive ADC signals, communication signals, EMC design considerations, high current power PCBs, and filter design, allowing me to build a comprehensive understanding of the field. In my career going forward, I want to be able to add new design skills to my toolbelt and design new types of electronic circuits which will test my abilities and make me a better engineer.
