Passionate about building scalable AI systems that positively impact millions of lives. As a Machine Learning Engineer with over five years of professional experience in artificial intelligence and seven years in the tech industry, I have acted as a platform architect, researcher, data scientist, data engineer, machine learning engineer, and, most importantly, a team player. I always prioritize scalability and efficiency in the projects I undertake. I entered the world of programming in 2015 and have since explored various areas, finding my passion for artificial intelligence in 2021. My goal is to continuously improve as a Machine Learning Engineer. To that end, I have not only specialized in MLOps but also value constant learning in the data science and data engineering fields. I believe that MLEs are the bridge between these two domains, and the more I know about them, the better I become as an MLE. I believe that Artificial Intelligence is the most socially disruptive field. A deep commitment to building ethical and responsible AI is at the core of my professional philosophy, and my goal is to always work with technologies that positively impact society. I enjoy being involved in the AI community culture that foments much of the innovation that affects society. Within artificial intelligence, I dealt with problems across different sectors, including GovTech, Media, and Finance. I began my career in computer vision and deep learning, facing challenges such as OCR, facial recognition, object detection, and image processing. I then moved into the Generative AI space, working on projects that made use of LLMs, embedding models, vector stores, and more. I have created projects like a chatbot with RAG, text converters, and an AutoML system for GenAI. Currently, I primarily work with traditional machine learning models in a big data environment. I develop model pipelines that span from data ingestion to the monitoring and serving phases. I mostly use Scala, Spark, and causal inference models to process hundreds of millions of data points daily in a cost-effective manner. I have solid experience architecting pipelines for AI systems, having done end-to-end development on ML projects that have affected the lives of over 100 million people. In these projects, I heavily applied MLOps principles and techniques to build scalable and sustainable solutions.
