Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence — these are terms that have become almost buzzwords. But if I had to describe what I do in simpler terms, I’d say I work with applied mathematics. Since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by logical thinking and elegant formulas — I was that kid who loved playing chess, got excited about Euler’s formula (e^iπ + 1 = 0), and wore those old fashion shirts (I’ve retired the shirts, but not the enthusiasm). I still enjoy a good chess match — any challengers? I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), one of the top universities in Latam according to Times Higher Education (THE). During my studies and research, I worked on topics spanning coding theory, cryptography, and artificial intelligence, which deepened my appreciation for the science behind technology. Professionally, I have over 4 years of experience at Itaú Unibanco, the largest financial institution in Latin America, where I worked at the intersection of data science, Machine Learning, AI engineering, and business strategy. Beyond the technical side, I strongly believe in the human element of technology. The core of every successful business lies in understanding people’s needs and building solutions that truly address them — a perspective I strengthened while leading a diverse entrepreneurial group and through my Business Studies at Universidad Carlos de Madrid. Today, I work in AI Engineering because I see it as the perfect blend of my technical background and strategic mindset — a way to bridge science, data, and business decisions.
