Peer has reorganised financially challenged organisations including reductions in force in Germany, France, Netherlands, Denmark, built startups from the ground up and has led high-performing organisations within DAX 30 and FTSE 100 companies. As Head of DACH at Zoom Video Communications, Peer is responsible for business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to that, Peer had been Managing Director of Webex in Germany since 2003. The company was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2007. At the time Eric Yuan, the current CEO of Zoom, was Vice President of Engineering at Webex. Yuan founded Zoom in 2011. Zoom went public in 2019.
