About Peggy Chen

I am driven by social impact and the principles of community social development. Experienced in non-profit sectors, I have worked in charitable organizations, K-12 public school settings, and local government, leading projects for and with equity-deserving groups focused on youth leadership, gender and racial equity, inclusion and belonging, and newcomer services. Currently, I am the Inclusion Planner at the City of Richmond, providing leadership and expertise on ethnocultural equity and inclusion topics to City Council and departments related to policy planning, program and service delivery, and community development. In my spare time, I am immersed in public libraries looking for the next best read, reconnecting with language and culture from my Taiwanese heritage, and dreaming about inclusive community-building, shifting power, and equitable systems change.
