Support and provide oversight of the payroll operational process for APAC and MEA region (i.e. Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Bangladesh, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, South Africa, Morocco and Nigeria)- Administer leaves of absence, time off programs and workers compensation claims- Execute sensitive tasks and controls, such as performing variance analysis to support payment approvals, reviewing and reconciling compliance filings, planning and executing on year-end processes- Support project tasks related to expansion activities including acquisitions and new countries- Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate, research and resolve complex compliance or longer-term operational issues that arise in order to reduce risk and improve the customer experience- Conduct new hire orientations for new joiners within the APAC region, briefing them on HR, payroll, absence and benefits policies- Partner with key stakeholders and HR teams to identify and evaluate complex payroll, absence and benefits processes- Serve as point of contact for employee, manager and HR business partner inquiries on benefits, leave cases, policies and processes- Appreciate tax regimes in the region, including Australia, United States, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, etc. This includes the interpretation and application of double taxation agreements.
