About Penelope Armes

Penelope is a currently working in corporate and volunteer wellness, providing health checks, nutrition consults and food diary feedback. Penelope works with clients to implement simple changes and habits, focusing on basic, beneficial foods and dietary choices, identify their goals, needs and underlying causes of conditions rather than symptoms only. Working with individuals to develop their holistic treatment plans with simple changes that help re-balance body homeostasis, emotional status and lifestyles for optimal health. Past careers in the food industry, medical research, child care, aged care and 'meals on wheels' Penelope understands food processing, research, pathophysiology and disease conditions as well as issues faced by all ages. As a mum Penelope draws from personal experience of food intolerance, allergies and anaphylaxis, work experience with children and senior citizens contribute to practical experience for supporting clients. Penelope worked with HISC to help launch their Nutrition for Seniors launch which focused on nutritional support when recovering from operations, illness, on medications and chronic conditions. Keeping active is a key to a healthier longevity and quality of life and by developing a sports nutrition knowledge assists her clients both physically and mentally. Previously Penelope worked with gym members at the YMCA Caulfield Recreation Centre was a great opportunity to work with motivated enthusiastic clients to achieve their health and fitness goals.
