About Penny Chai

Penny is a registered Counselling Psychologist in Australia. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese languages. Penny manages her own private practice and provides counselling services to adolescents, adults and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds. She is equipped to address a wide range of psychological concerns, such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, trauma, grief and etc. Penny values client-centred and strength-based approaches. She recognizes that each individual has unique needs and experiences. She is passionate in working collaboratively with her clients, valuing their expertise and perspective, to ensure that their therapeutic journey is tailored to their specific goals and aspirations. Committed to facilitating positive change, Penny employs a diverse range of evidence-based approaches in her therapeutic practice. These include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
