Before COVID-19, I found immense joy in running an adventure travel company, leading groups on retreats worldwide, creating unforgettable memories, and showcasing properties with my marketing company in Costa Rica. The pandemic halted travel, forcing me to return to Canada. While shopping, I found limited options for women in their wisdom years, sparking an idea to cater to women like myself. Driven to empower women, I opened a women's clothing store, which led to three successful boutiques. As our community grew, I reveled in helping women embrace their unique selves and embark on grand adventures. In my stores, I sensed a yearning for meaningful travel experiences that enriched the spirit and fostered profound connections. This phase of self-discovery ignited a thirst for exploration and savoring life's extraordinary moments. Reflecting on my life, I am proud to be a Life Adventure Expert. My soul has been nourished by traversing the African bush, living in a dome tent, and documenting a pride of lions. Adventure weaves throughout my life, from sailing tall ships up the Brazilian coast to trekking through the Himalayas and standing above Everest Base Camp. Exploring Cuba, dancing through Europe, and sleeping under the Sahara stars – each experience is a brushstroke on the canvas of my adventurous soul. But the true magic lies in connections with fellow travellers, each with a unique zest for life and captivating stories. I am enraptured by the kaleidoscope of human existence, where resilience, courage, and grace take center stage. I believe life is one great adventure, an odyssey that unfolds with honesty and courage. Adventure travel has been my conduit for self-discovery and personal growth. The challenges on these journeys have served as profound teachers, sharpening my senses and humbling me by the world's vastness. Venturing into the unknown raises our tolerance for uncertainty – a valuable skill for navigating life’s unpredictability. The lessons learned through adventure travel are timeless and applicable to all aspects of life. With this understanding, I bring you Grit & Grace Adventures.
