About Per Ostberg

The journey from country side Sweden to becoming a Guru at Futureworld has taken Per Ostberg to 90 countries, close to a thousand flights, lapped the Earth over 60 times in air miles, climbed mountains in the Himalayas, Africa and South America, and sailed a dugout canoe up and down the Kinabatangan River in Borneo. He’s walked with giraffes on the Niger savannah, played golf through a sandstorm in Chad, drunk with ex SAS soldiers at Paddy’s in Freetown, survived a civil war in Sierra Leone, swum with dolphins outside Pemba, and been locked up for hours at immigration in the Ivory Coast. Per’s more than 20 years of mobile technology experience started with restructuring logistics flows for Ericsson’s mobile network roll-out in East Asia in the late 90’s. He was the project director in charge of building six mobile networks for MSI/Celtel in Africa (now Airtel Africa) and then co-founded a Pan-African Mobile Value-Added Services company. To share his knowledge and experience in Asia and Africa with other aspiring expatriates, he authored the book “PERspective – Pros and Cons of Expat Life”. Adding to his worldwide business experience, Per has worked as an assistant teacher at Linkoping Institute of Technology; started a health food import and distribution company in South Africa, and graduated with honours from IMD’s Executive MBA programme in 2018. He has a Master of Science from Linkoping University in Sweden, a healthy dose of wanderlust, is an avid mountaineer, enjoys good wine with great friends, has an inquiring mind, and is the eternal student: Per regards a day where he hasn’t learnt something new as a wasted day.
