About Percy Bharucha

Percy has a master's degree in advertising and marketing from MICA and a postgraduate diploma in liberal arts and humanities from the Young India Fellowship (Ashoka University). He has spent the bulk of his early career working in strategy departments of ad agencies, launching new brands and helping old ones pivot. He has a Silver Efie award for his work on Tata Ace Zip and has written ABBY-winning case studies for Gaana.com. He has led the planning vertical for M&C Saatchi February and worked on accounts including Amazon Now, Times Internet, and India Today among others. On the client side, he's worked in PR and marketing for HarperCollins Publishers India handling some of their key authors including Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Ravi Subramanian and Kevin Missal. He initiated and led partnerships for their commercial fiction P&L with Floh, TrulyMadly, ScoopWhoop, Chaayos, Amazon Kindle and Forest Essentials. At Masters' Union, he was co-leading the brand and content vertical where he helped doubled their social media follower count on IG and LinkedIn and initiated partnerships with some of India's biggest influencers including Abish Mathew and Kenny Sebastian. He also helped deliver a 2x growth in their admissions application numbers. He's also learnt and worked as a tattoo artist, created two online comics called The Adult Manual and Cats Over Coffee and reviews books for the Hindustan Times and The Hindu. He was a part of the 10 Indian Comic Artists to Follow on Instagram list by DYT. I also review books for the Hindustan Times and The Hindu and have been a part of the YourQuote Himalayan Writing Fellowship. I've been published in Gratis, The Madras Mag, Reading Hour, eFiction and eFiction India, The Punch Magazine, F.I.G.H.T. C.L.U.B, Eastlit, Sbcltr, and several Medium publications.
