I am a qualified actuary with experience in the non-life and reinsurance industry. My areas of expertise include:1. Non-life Reserving (IFRS4 and IFRS17). Oversight of the reserving process, sign-off of results, preparation of report, and presentation of results to all stakeholders.2. Solvency and capital management. Oversight of the regulatory and economic capital process. Quarterly and annual regulatory capital submissions under SA Prudential Standards framework and Solvency II. Recovery Planning. Developing and maintenance of company’s recovery plan to ensure adherence to solvency requirements. Includes selection and assessment of recovery options, recovery indicators and scenario/stress testing to demonstrate recovery capacity. Reinsurance/retrocession optimisation. Providing advice regarding the most optimal reinsurance cover.6. Leadership and Management. Managing team to meet deliverables. Mentorship and performance management. Member of various Steering Committees and Working groups to support company objectives.
