About Perriesha Byrd

While I don't mean to be cliché, however since I was a child I have been a "trekkie." It spawned a natural curiosity in myself that lead to my achieving a BA in cultural Anthropology. Helped me learn about being diplomatic with others and being if I may say so myself a great team member who enjoys helping and lifting up others so that they maybe successful as well. And to bring things full circle to the present it is a major influence in my changing lanes as I aim to transition in programming to be come a full stack developer. I enjoy facing new challenges as face them as an opportunity to grow as a person. Programming is a challenge and as I work my way in overcoming them I have learned-JavaScript -HTML -CSS -jQuery Those skills are just the beginning of my trek (yes pun intended), those skills are the beginning of what I know will be a long journey as I continue to become more proficient in the aforementioned skills and continue to learn more. Working in food service I have never shied away from learning other areas within the industry. From writing standard operated procedures to planning themed meals and events. In the aftermath of the pandemic and the inflation and inconsistent shipping, I am proactive in finding coast effective alternatives and utilizing the resources available to still provide nutritious and appetizing meals for the residents that are indirectly under my care.
