I’m a research scientist turned communicator, passionate about bringing the biotechnology and business worlds together through clear and engaging writing and imagery. As Communications Lead my role is to actively listen and translate complex science into narratives that resonate with patients and their families, investors, partners, funders, research scientists, regulators, media, and the public. Whether launching press releases or writing manuscripts, I work with scientists, executives, and external partners to ensure our science is heard, understood, and trusted. With a background in biotechnology research and instruction, I bring a cross-functional lens to communications, combining analytical rigor with creative storytelling to build reputation and drive momentum. Help write, edit, revise, and submit manuscripts for publication in top science journals. Develop messaging for funding reports, clinical trial and study updates, corporate milestones, and public announcements. Coordinate social media awareness and goodwill campaigns.* Manage media relations, and coordinate interviews, press releases, and op-eds.* Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, investor relations, and leadership to ensure alignment across all communications.* Oversee brand tone, visual identity, and narrative consistency across the company website and social media platforms. Researcher and Project Lead I researched antibiotic pathways, early diagnostic breast cancer biomarkers, bacterial DNA transformation, and genetically modified cereal plants to improve nitrogen use efficiency and introduce biological nitrogen fixation to cereals. Goal: improve the lives of many with new and improved antibiotics and sustainable environmentally healthy agricultural crops. Academic Instructor I taught Microbiology, Extreme Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Protein Purification. Goal foster a love for science and inquiry in the students.
