About Perry Abdulkadir

My career began in civil rights law, where I worked on the front lines fighting against systemic discrimination. That commitment to fairness led me to pivot into ftechnology, where I help shape and scale AI systems with responsibility at the core. Today, I bring a rare combination of technical literacy, regulatory fluency, and program leadership to my work at the intersection of Responsible AI, Trust & Safety, and Governance. At Microsoft, I evaluate emerging generative AI products for risk across fairness, safety, reliability, and privacy domains — recommending mitigations that guide real-world deployments. Previously, I advised financial and insurance institutions on algorithmic fairness, helping them navigate legal and ethical obligations in credit modeling and underwriting. I am completing an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence (2025), adding deeper technical rigor to my hands-on program and policy experience. My background in economics, government, law, and machine learning gives me a strong foundation to bridge technical, regulatory, and business worlds.
