About Perry Becker

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 2024, I found myself without an aspiration. Having spent my entire life immersed in sports, I was burnt out and uninterested in staying within the industry. Still, I accepted a partnerships internship at The Soccer Tournament (TST), hoping it would fill my time while I explored my next steps. To my disappointment, I loved it. The high-stakes, open-to-all format was unlike anything I’d seen before, and the start-up environment perfectly aligned with my entrepreneurial mindset. Following the success of The Soccer Tournament, I was invited to return and join the events team at The Basketball Tournament (TBT). While my interested in The Tournament’s model and vision deepened, the burnout I felt from sports persisted (grew stronger). I decided to step away—not just from the sports industry, but from everything I had ever known. I spent the fall bouncing from hostel to hostel across Europe, hoping to uncover what I truly wanted from life. I didn’t. But the experience was a blessing, showing me how much I missed the sense of fulfillment that comes from pursuing greatness. Upon returning home, I reconnect with The Tournament, and reignited my passion for sports. Now, as an Events Coordinator, I’m excited to work with the most innovative sports league in the industry, showcasing The Greatest Endings in Sports.
