About Perry Chaulk

WHY DID I PURSUE A CAREER IN COUNSELLING AND CASE MANAGEMENT? A volunteer role at a local counselling practice that aims to improve people's lives inspired me to do so. I have witnessed how mental challenges impact the lives of individuals and families and how the proper support can empower people to get back on track. MY APPROACH: I cultivate authentic relationships with each of my clients (all focused on building trust) to facilitate wellness-based conversations, growth, and healing. MY LONGER-TERM GOAL: I wish to open my practice where I can continue to help my clients overcome the seemingly insurmountable and live productive lives. MY PROFESSIONAL VOW: Never lose compassion and empathy while treating each client with the utmost respect. We are all unique and present with different life circumstances; I combine humanistic therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic approaches to focus on key content, facilitate understanding, develop collaborative curiosity, foster motivation, and bring about positive change.
