About Perry Richardson

Native to Northern California, I grew up on some of America's most exciting race tracks, developing as a motorsports professional and racing in some of the most highly competitive regional and national series. I possess a unique blend of experience with over a decade of racing, and over 5 years of professional automotive restoration and repair. In my earlier years of racing I was a consistent top ten finisher, and was named 2007 San Francisco Region SCCA Rookie of The Year. In this time I also finished my degree in Automotive Technology from Cuesta College. In 2008 I began racing prototypes in the SCCA focusing on the DSR class, claiming a podium 9 out of 10 races. The season ended at the National SCCA Runoffs in Topeka Kansas, where I finished 7th out of a 35 car field. The 2009 season came with new challenges and great opportunities. I was selected out of 4,300 applicants for the Volkswagen TDI Cup, becoming one of the 30 drivers on the final roster. During this challenging season I claimed two top 10 finishes and placed 9th as a rookie driver in the championship. In 2010 I returned to racing the DSR and ran faster than ever, claiming 4 wins in 6 events. In 2011 I had a great debut in the Formula Car Challenge, with my first race weekend resulting in 7th and 9th place finishes. In the same year I ran the infamous 25-Hours of Thunderhill, where I positioned the car first in class, all while turning the fastest lap time of the weekend for the team. Currently, I am focused on a wider range of areas in motorsport that not only revolve around racing, but also include professional driver coaching, business-to-business activation, and running a track-car rental business.
