About Pertti Pellinen

I have been an European registered toxicologist since 1998. Due my training in pharmacology I have a deep knowledge of pharmacogical actions of drugs, which is of big benefit while evaluating toxic properties and mechanisms of compounds. I have written several preclinical Expert reports and Overviews. I have done much work with occupational safety assessments such as determining OELs, ADIs for drug substances and other chemicals. I am also familiar with the recent “Guideline on setting health based exposure limits for use in risk identification in the manufacture of different medicinal products in shared facilities (EMA/CVMP/SWP/169430/2012) and prepared PDE-calculations according to the guideline. I have also readiness to write Enviromental Risk Assessment (ERA) reports for pharmaceuticals. I have been acting as a consultant for several Finnish pharmaceutical companies in ERA- and occupational exposure- related tasks. In August 2017 I started as Senior Researcher at Finnish Medical Agency Fimea. I am working as preclinical assessor of marketing authorisation applications. Addionally, consulting in toxicology related tasks at the agency. Publishing activities- 11 original publications - 10 abstracts in publication series - 3 congress proceedings
