About Pete Deisroth

Before entering the financial industry, I worked for 25 years as a high-performance alpine ski racing coach in the US and Canada. In 2011, I was afforded an opportunity which enabled me to follow my passion for finance. I accepted a managerial position with a ‘Big 5’ bank in Vernon, BC, where I obtained my Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) certification and developed as an account manager and mutual funds representative. After working for four years in Vernon, I took advantage of an opportunity to further develop my lending skills locally, and spent two years working as a mortgage broker and credit coach in Salmon Arm. Working for our family business from a young age instilled within me a strong work ethic and a deep understanding and appreciation for personal service. I strive to maintain these values now, as your investment coach. My objective is to develop within you a fundamental understanding of the available investment products, to implement a plan unique to your personal circumstances and objectives, and to coach you through your plan working together to help you achieve the goals you set. Outside of the office, I coach our boys’ baseball and hockey teams. I’m also a board member with Salmon Arm Minor Baseball Association (SAMBA), and with the Sicamous and District Museum and Historical Society. Our family loves the outdoors, so we spend as much of our free time as possible alpine skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, camping, and hiking. I look forward to meeting you in here, so we can all spend more time out there!
