10 Years ago, I was facing a potential lawsuit that would have put me out of business at the same time I had a newborn baby and a new family to support. I felt trapped, scared and nervous - how would I continue to support my family if I was sued, injured, or otherwise no longer able to rely on my only source of income?I remembered reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, and how real estate investors can get paid while they sleep. As a contractor, this almost seemed foreign to me because my phone was always ringing and I was always working. But at this moment, I knew that my family deserved better, and the way that I would one day create a life of freedom would be through income producing real estate. However, I had been through the boom and bust of 07/08. In fact, I purchased my first house at the peak in the fall of 07, only to see the value plummet in half within months. This shaped my future as I became fearful and ultra conservative. But I still knew that income producing real estate was still the best path towards a life of freedom.Slowly but surely, I started with the goal of buying one investment property per year. It gave me purpose, and a means to an end, for working my tail off in my contracting business.Over time, this compounded to be a portfolio of over 20 properties mixed between multifamily and single family homes. I even purchased a vacation home and my future retirement home and have short term renters paying for them. Along the way, I hired an amazing team to take over my contracting business, which was awarded the Inc in 2021, along with many other awards. I started and sold a Pest Control business within 3 years. And I even co-authored a #1 Best Selling book called The Transformational Journey. I've escaped the rat race, travel the world, and work because I want to - not because I have to, all thanks to the income properties I've accumulated. Along the way, I've perfected my investing craft including how to source and analyze deals, how to negotiate, when to walk away, how to find creative ways to add value, and how to use leverage and inflation to my benefit. I've got systems and teams in place, and a passion for income producing real estate. Now I'm hyper focused on empowering other successful business owners and entrepreneurs to achieve greater financial security, diversify income streams, and build substantial wealth through strategic real estate partnerships and syndications.
