About Peter Ackerfors

In short, I am an optimistic and socially oriented person with the drive to meet challenges and achieve success. Professionally I would describe myself as a business-minded engineer with customer focus. To me, Success means a Win-Win situation in which a holistic solution or agreement is reached with both parties as a winner. I am a creative and committed person with strong perseverance to succeed with my missions. As an optimist, I frequently see the possibilities in the problems, motivated by challenges like an airplane lifts off against the wind. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege to develop both my leadership skills and my interpersonal skills. I have a genuine interest in leadership with the aim to drive and contribute towards the organization’s mission. My managerial strengths are my holistic approach, motivation and clarity as well as my coaching. For 7 years (2007 to 2014), I was an expat in China as R&D Manager within HW Design at Ericsson. The first years in Shanghai as R&D Manager of Power Design and 5 years in Beijing to establish two new R&D departments. The first department to manage the Power Designs for the Ericssons Telecom systems. The second department as Head of RBS Products in Field to monitor field performance of our products and work proactively with quality improvements of the HW. I am married to Maria and we have two grown up children. In my leisure time we often travel with our RV. I also enjoy cooking and fly-fishing together with family and friends. Specialties: R&D Management, General Management, Project Management, Trouble Shooting and Technical Sales.
