About Peter Amiet

During a career in the hospitality industry spanning more than 25 years, I have acquired expert knowledge of the key functional areas of major international hotels, including both front of house and back office operations. I have worked for some of the world’s most renowned hotel groups including Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Sheraton and have trained in hospitality purchasing management at the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association. Managing the procurement function requires the ability to carefully balance a wide range of business priorities, including the need to source and purchase high quality goods and services whilst maintaining awareness of financial constraints. An expert negotiator, I have been instrumental in achieving substantial annual cost savings of as much as 55% and have also ensured that resulting services exceed targets for guest satisfaction and industry compliance. Further expertise has been gained in finance and administration, including overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions. In addition, I have acquired advanced human resources capabilities throughout my career, successfully recruiting and retaining teams that consistently deliver outstanding performance within their areas of responsibility.
