About Peter Andrew

A resourceful IT executive known for bridging the chasm between IT and organizational goals, I endeavor to use the skill sets I acquired as an IT instructor to connect technology and its users, as I often serve as the first point of contact for technical support. Throughout my career, I have been successful in project and operational management, with special expertise in managing networks with multiple servers, applications, and computers with diverse operating systems. As the IT Manager and Systems Administrator for Family Care Visiting Nurse for the past ten years, I am often thought of as an innovative technical leader, experienced in server builds and PC configuration. Adept at improving processes and identifying cost savings, I tend to leverage longstanding relationships with vendors to ensure best outcomes for the organization. As I am naturally a teacher, I find myself passionate about mentoring and training non-technical colleagues, as well as budding IT professionals. Outside of my life in IT, I am active within the community, serving as a Cub Scout Den Leader and member of the Newtown Community Choir. PREMIER ACHIEVEMENTS • Spearheaded successful relocations of major IT infrastructure, including once for Airage HQ and twice for large Family Care remote offices, setting up brand new operations from scratch with minimal to no downtime. • Orchestrated Family Care’s move from paper-based system to the cloud, setting up and securing 150 tablet computers issued to nurses in the field, then training them in usage. • As chief of business continuity, maintained infrastructure without incident for over 10 years, excepting 3 natural disasters which were settled quickly through the creation of pop-up solutions temporarily housed in remote offices. Network uptime, over 10 years, averaged over 98%.
