About Peter Benyon
I started out on my career in education and support as a librarian in a sixth form centre in 2003. During my time in this role I discovered a joy and talent for supporting others and finding innovative ways to encourage, facilitate and inspire learning. Since then I have taken on a variety of roles in teaching and support (including work in large FE colleges, specialist provision, prisons and probation services), however there are three things that have remained consistent: 1) putting the person first, 2) thinking beyond the obvious and 3) leading by example. I now work at Derby College specialising in Neurodiversity, behaviour management and engagement. I also regularly speak at conferences and events.
