About Peter Chibnall

Peter Chibnall; Bachelor of Architecture, 1982. Auckland University, FELLOW; New Zealand Institute of Architects, NZCD, Architectural Technology, Wintec, 1978, Carpenter; Ivan Parker Builder, 1979, Registered Architect; N.Z.I.A Registration;1947. Peter started the practice in 1983, as a Sole Practitioner, which became Chibnall Swann Team Architecture in 1990, with a staff number reaching eighteen in 2008. In April 2010, the formation of Chibnall Buckell Marovic Team Architects with Business Partners Dominic Buckell and Mira Marovic, moved the practice into a new regional, national and international direction. With many years of experience of architectural design, Peter has with enthusiasm, energy and enjoyment of the design and delivery process, worked with a range of clients, having delivered a collection of team oriented, design based building solutions throughout New Zealand, and across Asia into India. These projects, over forty of them receiving Design Awards from N.Z.I.A. and the Registered Master Builders, range from specialist planning development, and building delivery in single residential, multi unit residential, through to tourist accommodation, commercial, industrial and educational facilities. Peter has also been a NZIA Branch Committee Member for many years and became a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Architects in 2009.
