FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION” - A simple, yet powerful recipe of ones’ ability to demonstrate consistent leadership, discipline, trust, and teamwork. This statement is something that I live by in both my personal and professional lives.As I take a trip down memory lane, thinking back to my early days of entering the workforce (putting aside the fact that I whole heartily miss the ability to eat anything I want and stay fit without having to spend 2 hrs working it off!) I’ve realized that there are some key attributes that I have developed and refined over the years: I thrive with developing outside the box solutions I am constantly learning because I never settle I stay calm when faced with adversity I put the customer at the center of all I do I love to win, but helping my team win gives me greater joy I’m a technology junkieOK. Technically the last one isn’t an “attribute”, but I am fascinated by all things surrounding technology. I’ve turned my home into a connected smart home with voice/motion-activated everything, I’ve upgraded my vehicle's entertainment system to be fully connected and my home office looks like a scene out of a sci-fi movie! Where am I going with all of this you ask? Great question and I’m glad you asked!Around the middle of 2019, my passion for all thing’s technology-led me down a path of “why” something wasn’t working properly. As I dug deeper into understanding the problem, I quickly realized there was no easy fix as it was a limitation of the application and that I did not have the skill set necessary to create a solution. This prompted me to complete some basic online software and web development tutorials, and by doing so became intrigued with the ability to create something out of nothing with just a few keystrokes. I continue to pursue this newfound passion by studying new languages, compilers, and algorithms as the more I learn, the more I realize how much I have yet to learn!
