About Peter Cohen

I am a mission-focused executive providing strategic and pragmatic leadership to buttress socially responsible organizations in diverse sectors. As General Counsel for the Partnership Fund for New York City, which is a social impact investment fund, I am part of a leadership team that has supported dozens of startups in the fintech, digital health, life sciences, and social enterprise sectors. I’m responsible for vetting, negotiating, and managing investments, ensuring compliance, and navigating complex relationships. I began my career as a transactional attorney before moving into social impact. I am actively involved with the CUNY LGBTQ+ Advisory Counsel and serve as Chair of the Career Development Committee, which works to fill the career opportunity gap that exits for many LGBTQ+ students at CUNY schools.
