About Peter Collins

I am a trusted, results orientated senior IT professional with a vast range of experience in institutional Investment Management where my background combines detailed systems design and interfacing expertise with data management, market data and business experience, mainly in the front office and have engaged at all levels within the organisation’s that I have worked at. I have run specialist application support teams, a data management team, a business analysis team, development teams and been responsible for vendor management, programme management and managing numerous front office projects. Also, I have been responsible for data architecture, designing databases, designing applications and reviewing products from some of the major suppliers of investment management systems to assess their suitability for deployment. I have a full life-cycle experience having reviewed, implemented and then supported several front office and data management systems. Outside of my day job, I am particularly interested in; the analysis of company research data so I am now learning R to upgrade my old S-Plus skills, automation, building websites, and finally a bit of Python.
