Accomplished physicist whose career has focused on developing advanced simulation approaches and applying them to a diverse range of industrial processes. Expertise in CFD, thermal, mechanical and vibration analyses. In CSIRO, I'm contributing new multiphysics models to projects in additive manufacture, CO2 capture, membrane distillation, dehydrogenation, magnesium extraction. Previously, I led the development of commercial finite element software at Autodesk for plastic injection molding. In Rio Tinto (Comalco), helped improve aluminium smelter technology through FEA simulation studies supported by plant trials, achieving multi $M savings. Strengths in problem analysis and tailoring innovative models, supported by validation. Developed in-house FE codes and also extensive experience with commercial codes (Moldflow, Ansys, Flow-3D, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, NISA, PHOENICS).
