I've worked in financial services for the whole of my 40+ years of working life, and have held numerous chairman and non executive positions with financial advice practices, and other businesses. The last 19 years of my career have been involved in the acquisition of businesses, where I have developed an expertise in all aspects of the engagement, including-* developing the business case * overseeing the due dilligence, disclosure and contractual processes * cultural alignment of staff and clients * building future value in businesses I am a Chartered Director, Chartered Insurer, a Fellow of the IoD, and a past member of the FCA's Regulatory Decisions Committee (RDC). St. James's Place Wealth Management is one of the leading wealth management organisations in the UK. As a Company, we build enduring client relationships via the delivery of quality face to face advice and solutions for all financial planning needs, this proposition being further enhanced via our unique approach to investment management. In May 2020 I had the honour of being asked to become CEO of Policy Services Ltd (PS). Like all great start-ups, PS was started as the germ of an idea, this time in the garage of our Founding Directors in Linlithgow, Scotland. The idea behind the business was to help financial advisers reduce the volume of administration in their business, and to allow them to help their clients more efficiently. PS' strategic partnership with SJP and its Partner businesses, who we provide our services to, has allowed us to shape the business which, for the last 18 years, has continued to grow. Our growth has seen us move from a family business to a Company with over 70 staff, now operating from delightful office space at the Oracle Campus in Linlithgow. In 2020, PS was invited to join the SJP group to further enhance our strategic partnership and to facilitate our further expansion.
