Director, Medicinal Cannabis Industry Australia (MCIA), Australia’s peak medicinal cannabis industry organisation for licence holders. • As CEO of Cann Group, over seven years we took the company from start-up (5 staff) to being the first licence holder under the Office of Drug Control, and the first medicinal cannabis company to list via an initial public offering on the ASX (ASX: CAN), raising $13.5M. To accelerate its growth, Cann completed subsequent capital raisings totalling more than AUD$150m, which enabled advancement of its’ most ambitious project to date; a high-tech controlled environment glasshouse and GMP manufacturing facility. Cann also secured debt financing with NAB of $65M, and now employs over 125 staff across sites in Melbourne and Mildura. • 28-year career at Nufarm Limited (ASX: NUF), with senior management roles in marketing, business development, and information technology and “new technologies” which involved the licensing and commercial development of several new agribusiness technologies. Project managed the successful integration of acquisitions in Australia & USA; including working with regulators in Australia, UK, EU, USA and India.
