Background

About Peter Day

With over 24 years of experience in the military and academic sectors, I am the Director of Intelligence at United Nations Command, where I oversee the intelligence support to the commander and the staff, as well as the coordination with allied and partner nations. Previously, I was a Professor of Aerospace Studies and Commander of Detachment 295 at the University of Louisville, where I taught and mentored students and cadets in the Air Force ROTC program. I also served as the Chief of War Plan Integration at the Pacific Air Forces, where I led the development and execution of contingency and crisis action plans for the Indo-Pacific region. My core competencies include military operations, national security, warfighting, intelligence analysis, and leadership. I hold a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a JPME II certificate from the Joint Forces Staff College. I am passionate about advancing the peace and security of the world, and leveraging my expertise and experience to contribute to UNC’s mission and vision. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, and value collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
