About Peter Deeb

I am an experienced financier and investor, having built and operated a number of businesses since 1988. Our portfolio of businesses interests have included investments in the Financial Services, Shipping, Energy Exploration, Real Estate and Hospitality sectors. Through various subsidiaries, the Deeb group holds stakes in Bermuda based tanker group Nordic American Tankers Limited (NYSE/NAT) and Hospitality, Property and Casino group, Monte Carlo based Société des Bains de Mer (Euronext/BAIN). I currently serve as Executive Chairman & CEO of Hampton Securities Limited and its publicly traded parent company, Hampton Financial Corporation (TSXV/HFC - Financial Services). I have also served on the Board of Private Equity fund, Deutsche Bank Capital Investment Circle LLP, alongside a distinguished board which included Vice President Dan Quayle and Investors Arthur Laffer and Peter Tanous. As well, I have also been actively involved in the Public Sector having been appointed by Premier Doug Ford as Chairman of Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG), and as a member of the Board of the PC Ontario Fund, where I served as Chairman of the Audit Committee. I have served as an advisor to Governments on Middle East Affairs and have had a lengthy business involvement in the Energy Sector in Africa and Asia. During my career in Finance, I have contributed considerable time and effort towards improving the regulatory environment of the investment industry in Canada. I have had the honor of serving as Chairman of the Ontario District Counsel of The Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (CIRO), and as Chairman of IIROC’s National Advisory Committee where I worked with my fellow board members to contribute to a proactive regulatory framework for Canadian investors and the hundreds of investment dealers and thousands of industry professionals that serve them. I have enjoyed an active involvement in Canada’s arts community as a supporter and Board Member of the Canadian Opera Company, as past Chairman of Opera Mississauga and in support of the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Ontario Museum and Opera Atelier.
