About Peter di

Peter DiPace Jr. serves the Ransom Everglades School community as the Head of the Middle School. As Head, he leads the team responsible for designing, implementing and sustaining educational programs and practices that meet the needs of each and every learner in grades 6th through 8th. The head oversees curriculum, co-curricular activities, community engagement, and manages matters regarding school finances, facilities, technology, advancement and admissions specific to the middle school campus. Prior to being named Head of the Middle School, Peter served for two years as Head of the Upper Elementary Division at St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School. At St. Thomas Peter led the faculty and staff, supported parents and students and was responsible for all aspects of the curriculum, including the schoolwide enrichment and summer programming. Before his work at St. Thomas Peter spent over a decade at Ransom Everglades School and served in a variety of roles that included, Middle School Dean of Students, Director of Summer Programming and Assistant Head of the Middle School. Peter spent several years working as an attorney in private practice before transitioning into education. He has extensive legal experience in business and property law, and served for eight years as a duly appointed member of the Miami-Dade County Planning Advisory Board. Peter earned his B.S. in Social Science from Florida State University, his J.D. cum laude from St. Thomas University (Miami, FL), and an Ed.D from Northeastern University. Peter has always exhibited a profound passion for building school-based experiences that promote each student's sense of identity, community, and personal integrity. His personal mission statement is to foster empowerment, ensure belonging and promote well-being in every learner. Peter lives in Miami with his wife and two sons. He loves cooking, sports and spending time outside with his family.
