About Peter Dieck

Strong in leading people, teams, programs and projects from growth and change perspectives, I build and rally people and teams to adopt a growth mindset, to accept challenges, supporting them with training, tools and resources, and aligning their individual successes with those of the organizational vision and program objectives. As a business and technology projects professional, I come armed with versatility and resilience. I apply approaches and methodologies from a place of knowledge and experience. As a servant leader, I show up intent on building and fostering collaboration, leveraging individual strengths, and encouraging teams to overcome the challenges they face. I was inducted by fire from the outset. Recruited from the business as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and given formal Business Analysis (BA) training by a Big Five (yes, five at the time) consulting practice, I learned Process Analysis and Business Process Improvement. With natural leadership tendencies, I parlayed that role into a Project Lead role on the largest data conversion and systems migration to date in the mutual fund industry. I expanded upon that by starting up a PMO within that organization. Over the subsequent years, I've led projects and programs from the software development vendor side, as a consultant, and in industry. I managed a teams of project and program managers, increasing project success rates by hiring quality people, providing them training, certification opportunities and increasing responsibilities. I led $25M+ programs with up to eight project teams, successfully migrating clients across platforms. I headed up the software development and project services at a media company, transforming the business from hard goods to an eCommerce and digital content delivery force in that niche. I introduced hybrid Agile (Scrum) to this organization, maturing the releases from ad-hoc to monthly releases based on three week sprints, with ongoing intra-day content updates.
