Skilled Maintenance and Facility manager with over 30 years’ experience in managing technical teams, assets, and maintenance. For the third time I set up a complete maintenance team and organization from scratch in high-profile automated logistics distribution centers. Guiding projects, improving uptime, and organizing commissioning/expansion/modification/retrofitting of complex automated/mechanized warehouses and sorting systems. Pragmatic, down to earth, people manager with thorough skills to analyze bottlenecks and solve root causes. Result driven, helicopter view. Specialist in setting up and optimize maintenance teams, preventive maintenance plans, managing commissioning. Open minded, hands-on, and curious mentality always focusing on continuous improvement. In 2018 I started my incredible journey with the Spanish fashion concern Inditex, building one of the largest automated logistics DC in the world. Responsible for setting up, managing, and optimizing a new maintenance organization >55 FTE. Since January 2021 XPO Supply Chain Netherlands has taken over the business activities of Inditex for the Lelystad Platform. All Inditex employees are transferred to XPO. From December 2021 till March 2025 Facility Housing Manager at the IHQ from Action in Zwaagdijk. Responsible for Facility, hard and soft Services for our DC’s in Europe ( currently 14 DCs in 2024 and we will build more and more), leading international Facility Service tenders, budget responsible for all Dcs, managing my regional Facility team in Europe.
