About Peter Dowsett

I have over 15 years of experience in the Pro Audio industry, including extensive music production, recording engineering and live work, in 2015 I also had a book published by Focal Press. I have worked in some of the most well-known studios in London, primarily Metropolis where I spent 3 years working with artists such as Pharrell, Black Eyed Peas, Michael Kiwanuka, Nick Jonas and many more. Songs I have co-written have been on numerous Amazon, Apple and Spotify official curated playlists including Amazon UK Fresh Rock, Spotify New Music Friday in several countries. I was a live sound engineer both in-house and touring during which time I did either front-of-house or monitors for the likes of Ugly Kid Joe, Fozzy, Twisted Wheel, The Darkness, Foals, Maccabees, Pulled Apart by Horses, Cast and Buzzcocks. Lecturing Audio Engineering/Production/Mixing at many of London's top music schools and universities including Abbey Road Institute, The University of West London, ICMP, RADA, SSR and Pointblank. I now split my time between working as a manager, co-writer and producer for burgeoning rock artists, and as a DSP Engineer at Blackstar Amplification.
