I have 20 years experience of Wind Turbine Installation and the heavy lift industry also 25 years experience as a DieseI fitter. I am currently contracted by a crane company to supervise all the crane rigging crew and have a proven track record within the crane and Construction industry. This intales an awareness of health and safety guidlines and working closely with site management. OPITO accredited offshore survival course and Danish, Norwegian, Uk offshore medical with Falck Nutec. As an Appointed Person NVQ Level 5,Heavy Lifting Supervisor and Client Rep I am solely responsible for -Planing, managing and organising of the Lifting Operations in according to BS7121.The provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. The Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998-Compiling Method Statements,Lift plans and Risk Assessments for all Lifting scenarios,(Basic,Standard & Complex Lifts.)-Risk management and identification of all Lifts-Consulting with clients main and sub-contractors, as to their requirements.Liaising with crane company's and manufacturers of Lifting Equipment-logistics planning, Safe route planning, Traffic management, scheduling deliveries, Liaising with all delivering agencies-Selection of Cranes, Mewps, Telehandlers, and lifting equipment to accomplish the tasks safely and effectively-Evaluation and establishing of Crane and lifting equipment. Thorough examination of lift equipment-Calculation of ground bearing pressures and duty charts for all lifts-Establishing weights and the centre of gravity, selecting of lifting equipment, slings, sling angles-job completion evaluations, holding daily toolbox talks, and crane advanced weekly meetings.
