The “Detect and Vacate” proposal is now in ETSI BRAN Technical Report 103 319 ITS and road tolling Together with Cisco Government Affairs I developed positions to share 5 GHz bands with incumbent services in the six sub-bands. I chaired the Wi-Fi Alliance EMEA Issues Tiger Team and participated in ETSI BRAN and ERM TG11 work affecting Wi-Fi. I was a key participant of the 802.11 DSRC Tiger Team and worked in defining ways to share the 5850-5925 MHz band with transportation applications.
