Within my previous role with BHP as an Line Technical Specialist for Rail Network Maintenance, I provide both initial and ongoing coaching to Frontline staff, Supervisors and Superintendents in the application of Standardised Work aligning to the deployment of RTP’s Changes to our business specifically focusing on the impact to positions and how to understand and manage the changes with behaviours as they are introduced. My experience spans over 18 years across two major heavy haul networks through the Pilbara. This has exposed me to multiple scenarios, highlighting my ability to demonstrate a growth mindset through various leadership roles, site improvement roles, the deployment of the BOS Practices within rail concluding with the exit score of 54 and currently within the RTP Change Management Team. Throughout Field Leadership interactions, I’ve always ensured I modelled a high-quality risk assessment behaviour and instil business values that promote Safety, Respect, and Integrity. I strongly support mental health among the team and ensure I am always conducting wellness checks. I find this a rewarding element of leadership. I have well developed interpersonal and communication skills which have proven to be an asset in managing a diverse range of employees and dealing with conflict resolution in line with BHP charter values. I learn quickly and this has enabled me to be very independent in my positions and supportive to other staff in training and daily work. Being a BHP employee over eleven years I have gained a deep understanding of the way in which BHP improves, develops, and maintains a sustainable model with safety. I’ve excelled in organizational and planning skills which have proved beneficial within my current role in setting aspirational targets and meeting deliverables.
