Nationally recognized skills include organizational creation, knowledge architecture, high performance organizational renewal, strategic and tactical long-range planning, top-level systems analysis and organizational transformation. One of the founding members of the Learning Innovations Laboratory at Harvard University where the top Chief Knowledge Officers in the United States study how organizations learn. A pioneer in innovation in the federal government and has a 40-year history of involvement with the Association of Managers of Innovation at the Center for Creative Leadership. He served as a knowledge advisor for the National Story Telling Network and was an advisory board member of the “Stories in Organizations” National Special Interest Group. Board Chairman and founding member of "At Home Chesapeake" a member of the national Village to Village Network. Board member and strategic planner of the National Village to Village Network, a nonprofit organization stretching across the United States to help aging Americans stay in their own homes and thrive into their senior years. Over 300 villages with approximately senior Americans are members of this network. Advisor to Feeding America Initiative to bring together resources of the food pantries, food banks and national resources to better distribute critical food resources across America. Advisor to West African nations developing strategies for restructuring national debt.
