About Peter Erb

I am a senior aviation operations and maintenance leader with over 22 years of experience in Army Aviation and OEM production environments. My career spans the full lifecycle of aircraft maintenance and readiness - from hands-on technical work and test flight operations to large-scale maintenance oversight, production control, and personnel development. I hold FAA certifications as both a Commercial Helicopter Pilot with Instrument Rating, an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technician, and I have accumulated more than 2,500 rotary-wing flight hours, including 500 as a Maintenance Test Pilot. While serving as a Government Acceptance Test Pilot with the Defense Contract Management Agency at Sikorsky Aircraft, I led the final inspection and delivery of more than 130 Blackhawk helicopters, valued at more than $25 million each delivered to multiple service branches. Now, as I transition from military service, I am continuing my flying career with Infinity Flight Group out of Trenton, New Jersey, and their Rotary Wing Transition Program. I am scheduled to complete that training on 20 March 2026 with an ATP/CTP license and begin my career as a First Officer. I am a passable carpenter, a hobby fisherman, a dedicated father, and a loving husband. A long-time lover of animals, we currently have two cats and three dogs in the household. My two sons are both in high school and learning independence and a work ethic to build the foundation of their lives on.
