About Peter Fruhmann
Objectives: To contribute to civic education, community- and organizational cohesion and collaboration through the application of narrative approaches and storytelling methods. For that I employ my knowledge of fine arts, communication, socio-ecology, storytelling, diverse narrative approaches and my experience as a teacher and trainer. My needs are simple: to obtain – practically and research - the best possible knowledge and tools to achieve my objectives I have more than 40 years experience in communication as a creative director and strategist at international agencies. My interest in what makes people tick led to a BSc in psychology (and socio-ecology of behavior). I can distinguish clearly the difference between a good and a bad story. Next to my work in organizations and European (Erasmus+) education projects I am a lecturer at the SAE Media Institute Amsterdam (Story Development) and a guest lecturer (Storytelling in organizations) at the Rotterdam School of Management (2016 - 2018, Erasmus University, Rotterdam). In recent years I have developed (adult) educational curricula, trainings and workshops within the Erasmus+ program of the European Lifelong Learning program. The training 'Strengthening the Community by Storytelling' has won an international European award (Learn for Life, 2014). Recent Erasmus+ projects where I was a partner in: Artful Leader, Guerrilla Literacy Learners (GuLL), Raising Strong and Resilient Communities, StoryTeller and Common Ground Common Future (2019-2021), and INGAME (2019-).
