About Peter Garich

I began my career in sales in 1986 while a Junior in high school. I helped open the new Handyman Home Center in Xenia Ohio. I worked there for 2 years and was in charge of the tool department where I built relationships and repeat business selling tools and equipment such as lawn mowers and chain saws. After graduating high school in 1987, I went to Sinclair Community College majoring in Business Management. In 1989 I joined the U.S. Navy serving 4 years as a Surgical Technologist. During my time in service, I was promoted to Team Leader for Orthopedic Surgical Care. This was a great step in developing my leadership skills which became very important upon my deployment to Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. While deployed I served as Lead Operating Room Technician in a mobile surgical hospital. There, I was nominated for the Naval Achievement Medal for "Professional ability, initiative, and devotion to duty in planning and construction of two mobile surgical hospitals". I was also awarded the Commanding General's Letter of Commendation for " Superior performance in the execution of duties as Operating Room Technician during Operation Desert Shield/Strom". After serving my time in the Navy, I returned to Ohio and took a position with Cintas as a Route Sales Representative from In this position I managed a high volume uniform route. After getting married in and having a baby on the way I found it necessary to go after something that had a much higher earning potential. This is when I began my partnership with Erie Construction Midwest, Inc. as a sales rep. I excelled at this immediately. I found that I gained immediate trust and confidence from my clients. I had first year sales of over and won Erie Constructions Summit Awards Sales Rookie of the Year in 2001. In 2002 I was promoted to Senior Rep. and nominated for Senior Rep of the Year from over 100 reps. I was promoted to Assistant Sales Manager in 2003. From 2009 to present I have worked for Craftsmen Home Improvements beginning as a Kitchen and Bath Sales/Design rep. When I joined Craftsmen we were a single location company with about $1.5 million in sales. Much to my credit, we have grown to 2 locations with as much as nearly $7 million in annual sales. I was promoted to General Manager in 2013 and currently am responsible for hiring, training, selling, and developing policies and systems which have lead to tremendous growth in a short time. I currently manage both locations and 12 employees. I am always open to any opportunities!
