Ik ben in 1980 afgestudeerd als Fysiotherapeut en heb mij in de jaren daarna gespecialiseerd als Sport Fysiotherapeut en Bedrijfs Fysiotherapeut. jarenlang ben ik Maatschapslid geweest van de Fysio Actief Groep. Een maatschap Fysiotherapie met vestigingen in Breda en omstreken. Sinds 01-01-2016 ben ik niet meer in deze maatschap werkzaam. Sinds 1994 ben ik ook directeur, eigenaar van Sportcentrum Medifit Breda. Deze functie heb ik begin 2021 overgedragen aan onze zoon Koen Gerrits. Tevens ben ik gediplomeerd Heartmath Coach. Coach in Training van veerkracht en stressmanagement. Vanaf Juli 2020 ben ik tevens gecertificeerd Oersterkcoach en in 2022 heb ik mij verder gespecialiseerd als orthomoleculair therapeut. Ik coach nu mensen naar een vitaler leven.
