Background

About Peter Glanville

I am a Hydrologist, Quaternary Geologist and Geographical Information Scientist with SLR Consulting Ireland. I specialise in Hydromorphology, Fluvial Geomorphology and GIS across a range of infrastructure projects. I currently work in a variety of industries including mining, minerals and quarrying covering permitting, compliance and resource assessment. My background is in Fluvial Geomorphology and I maintain a keen interest in this field. In the recent years Fluvial Geomorphology has become an area of expertise in Hydromorphology which is required for Water Framework Directive compliance and is an important factor in support of water quality, aquatic habitat and river channel and floodplain ecosystems. I am a Professional Geologist (PGeo EurGeol) and member of the Institute of Geologists of Ireland (IGI). I am a member of the Irish Quaternary Association and member and Treasurer of the Geomorphology Association of Ireland.
