About Peter Goodwin

I am Energetic, outgoing, friendly and intellectually curious with excellent communication, customer service, teamworking and interpersonal skills, developed throughout my career so far. I have experience in coding using SQL in SAS and HUE, data analysis, drawing conclusions, producing recommendations and presenting those recommendations. I also have a great interest in climate/sustainability and Geopolitics. My proudest professional achievements include: Pathway Tool - Lead my team and various stakeholders through the development of the tool to launch over 5 months. implementation of the tool has improved efficiency and reduced operational and credit risk within the manual underwriting process for wholesale issuing. Controls Dashboard Degree Apprenticeship - Achieved a distinction over the course of my 3 year apprenticeship. BUK Chief Risk Officer Shadowing – I shadowed Matthew Stevens in several meetings covering a wide range of his responsibilities and learned a great deal from him. I then promoted this opportunity at the Early Careers Townhall to every UK and US Grad and Apprentice. Hosting EQ call – I volunteered to host a call on Emotional Intelligence. Leading up to the event I supported two senior leaders in developing the questions and their answers and enabled the conversation to flow in the call. Mentoring – I volunteered to mentor a Socioeconomically disadvantaged student, taking them through 6, weekly calls. It was my responsibility to prep materials to support our conversations on 6 preplanned topics. I have also had 2 apprentice mentees whom I have welcomed into the bank and supported wherever I could. Outside of work: Sports - I enjoy going to the gym, playing Tennis, Running, Bouldering and more. Languages and Travelling - I love travelling to new places and find learning new languages fascinating. Geopolitics - Enjoy keeping up to date on world news and various other topics of interest.
